I woke up in the Bozeman KOA to B poking me and announcing that I needed to get up and eat my breakfast. Dad and B went to the local grocery store, Rosauer's, to get sandwich supplies and breakfast. I had a phenomenal apple turnover. Then, we piled into the car and drove the hour and fifteen minutes-ish to Yellowstone. We saw the Gibbon Waterfall on the way into the park and I didn't look too much, heights and all. We stopped at the Norris Basin first. The geysers and hot springs and other geothermal things were so cool. Well, they were burningly hot, but awesome nonetheless. It was unearthly to see the stark barrenness of it all. There was a distinct line between the basin and the forest alongside. Standing in the basin, one could see the line where trees died and life stopped. To be standing in the middle of such desolation was amazing and heartstopping. The smell, however, was impressive in a different way. J's first words upon entering the basin: "Wow, it smells like my butt!" If you can imagine the smell of an eleven-year-old boy's butt and times that by roughly a thousand, you have a pretty good approximation of the smell. We were all feeling pretty sick by the end.

We stopped at the next picnic shelter to eat because everyone was threatening to eat each other. Dad and I had roast beef on white. B had roast beef and colby on white. A and J had turkey and colby with mayo on white. Mom had turkey, roast beef, and colby with mayo and mustard on white. Then, we drove to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I had a minor panic attack and looked over the edge for roughly two point six seconds.

We then drove down the road that wildlife are usually visible from. We saw about five hundred buffalo and some pronghorn and mule deer. There was a mule deer right outside the bathroom shack where we stopped, and a boat in the parking lot was made by Adipose. We also saw a petrified tree from the car.

Because it was getting late, we decided to see some geothermal terraces and then head back to the cabin. On the way through the town of Yellowstone, we noticed something odd. The village green was full of elk! We stopped to take a lot of pictures, and then left the park. There was an ice cream place right outside, so we had ice cream and that became our dinner.

We are wild, Americana, exotica
