Road Trip 2015 - Day 1 - Driving

My crazy family has started on its weirdly non-annual yet regular road trip. Day 1 consists of mostly driving. We started at our house in Michigan, and left around nine. Not bad, not good, but not bad. We drove for a very long time. Dad drove through the rest of Michigan we had to go through, and Indiana, and through Chicago. Then, I drove through some Wisconsin. Dad drove from wherever I stopped to the University of Wisconsin, or Wisconsin State?, and we had ice cream in their dairy store. We also got cheese and milk.
Let's talk about the vehicle for a sec, shall we? After all, that is one of the most important parts of a road trip. We use Mom's light green Sienna LE minivan. It is a big car. We are a big family with a lot of stuff. Car shrinks quickly. Dad's in the driver's seat, or sometimes me, and it's a fairly bog-standard driver's seat: wheel, pedals, radio controls, turn signals, windshield wipers, mirrors and other such driving implements. Mom sits shotgun, or Dad if I'm driving. There's not a whole bunch of stuff up there, just Mom's purse and books. Between them is the tissue box, and several cups of coffee. A sits directly behind the driver's seat, and she has her books and eos and ipod and whatever else she needs to survive, along with a copious amount of Fall Out Boy songs. I sometimes sit in the driver's seat or in the seat behind shotgun, or in the back behind shotgun. I dislike sitting in the back because I have long legs, and there is not a lot of space back there. I have a hulking bag of books, and my huge purse and my computer bag. J sits in the back right, with his book about futuristic worlds and piles of Pokemon. B sits in the back right with more than her body mass worth of stuffed animals and the entire Harry Potter series.

Then we drove on to a small Minnesota town with an imitation British pub where we stopped to eat. I had fish and chips. A had Irish stew. J had Bangers and Mash. B had mini fish and chips. Mom had Shepherd's Pie and Dad had a burger. Then we went to the hotel in Mankato. It was a Fairfield. We slept well.

Chorus of the Day!

Hey young blood, doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
Wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix

Last Chorus of the Day:
Girl Almighty by One Direction
