First off, I've been volunteering at my local library on Wednesday mornings for story time. It is an absolute blast. First, the librarians read stories that follow a theme. Then, the kids are released for 'Garden Games', which is really just whatever outdoor toys the library owns out in the garden. There are a bunch of volunteers (all teenage girls, and including me) who help out, making sure no one gets hurt, or eats the games. It is so fun. The kids are all really sweet, and the hardest part of the whole job is carrying everything outside at the beginning, and inside at the end.
Secondly, the Young Author's Conference was amazing. Imagine a bunch of young writers crammed into one building, learning everything they can from the professors and authors around them, as well as each other. First, we workshopped our pieces. Then, I had a poetry class led by Gail Carson Levine, which was amazing. Not only did I learn to write a triolet, I met Gail Carson Levine. Then, lunch, followed by a session on revising, then writing what you know, then building a character. It was amazing! My group, the Blue Frogs, spent a lot of time completely nerding out and talking about all sorts of fandom related stuff.
Third, Girl Scout camp. I did not want to do this, but it ended up being pretty fun. I read my Laura Ingalls Wilder book and hung out with the little girls in my mom's troop. It was a pretty chill weekend. I got to watch the fire, and did not have to go swimming in the nasty lake. My sister did go home because of her allergies. My littlest sister spent the night curled up at my side. It was annoying, but also kind of cute.
Fourth, the Flash. I watched nine episodes on Monday. It is safe to say that I am completely obsessed. Come on, it's a show about nerds and superheroes. What's not to like? It is phenomenal. I love it. I love Barry Allen. It is amazing. Infinite love for the Flash.

Chorus of the Day!
Where is your boy tonight?
I hope he is a gentleman
And maybe he won't find out what I know
You were the last good thing about this part of town
I hope he is a gentleman
And maybe he won't find out what I know
You were the last good thing about this part of town
Last Chorus of the Day:
