What I'm... No. 5

I'm back with a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, continue ad nauseum list of things I've been loving, and maybe some not so much.

Reading:
Books:
A Brief History of Montmaray by Michelle Cooper
This is a beautiful and engaging book. It is along similar lines as I Capture the Castle, but the family is on an island and there are Nazis, and bombings, and a mad king. Such a wonderful book!

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
This book was recommended to me by my sister, and I liked it. I'm not quite sure I loved it, but I did like quite a bit more than Anna and the French Kiss. Lola is just such an intriguing person.

Four by Veronica Roth
This book was amazing, and heart-wrenching. I know what happens to Four, what he goes through, and how he copes. Learning the start of a journey you already knew the end to is always sad.

First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong by James R. Hansen
I am reading this right now, and it is amazing. Neil is amazing, and I love it! He is such a fascinating person; I'm totally in, and I haven't even gotten to Apollo.

The Family Romanov: Murder, Rebellion, and the Fall of Imperial Russia by Candace Fleming
This book was good. I can't say I learned a whole lot I didn't know, but I liked it. Sad, sad book, though. It has to be.

Pioneer Girl by Laura Ingalls Wilder
AMAZING!!!!!! I have read the Little House series at least ten times, probably more like twenty, and I cannot believe how much is true, and how much not quite.

Space Chronicles by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
THIS BOOK! This book was funny and informative and perfect. My sister punched the picture of Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the nose, though. She can't forgive him for being on the committee that declared Pluto a dwarf planet.

Moondust by Andrew Smith
Haven't started this yet, but SUPER EXCITED to.

Rocket Men by Craig Nelson
Are you noticing a trend? I like space. This also sounds like a phenomenal book.

Blogs:
Sprinkle of Glitter - Louise
Louise is an amazing person, and her blog is stupendous!
Link

Sunny Sweet Pea - Jenny
I love Sunny Sweet Pea. It's calm, laid back, relaxed, and doesn't make you feel rushed or anything. Jenny takes her life at her own pace.
Link

This Charming Life - Kaelah Bee
Kaelah's life is amazing, and heart-warming. I love reading her journey from college girl to grown woman. I hope I can do something similar one day.
Link

Fleur De Force - Fleur
Fleur's blog is full of beauty, and it makes me think about how we came to a world where there are people who's jobs are to write about items that are solely for putting on one's false to create somewhat false beauty. All in all, Fleur's blog is a treat, and awesome.
Link

Gala Darling - Gala
Gala's blog is fun, spunky, and a teeny bit indie. LOVE IT!
Link

Anna Saccone - Anna
I love Anna's blog! It does a great job of capturing her life in her own words.
Link

Life of Bon - Bonnie
The Life of Bon is wonderfully eclectic and perfectly strange.

Listening:
Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy is like perfection, just more emotional.

Taylor Swift
1989 is an amazing album. Seriously.

The Wanted
The Wanted is a fantabulous band, and I wish they hadn't split. Word of Mouth is an amazing album.

5 Seconds of Summer
5 Seconds of Summer is like all the craziness in the world, squished up. They are so amazing, and beautiful.

One Direction
Four is good, and all the songs Ed Sheeran wrote for them are fantastic. The rest of their stuff, eh?

Ed Sheeran
I do not think that there is a song by Ed Sheeran that I don't like. Everything is stupendous!

OneRepublic
OneRepublic's Native is such an amazing and fantastic album. I could listen to it all day.

Imagine Dragons
Everything Imagine Dragons does is an amazing work of art.

Coldplay
Coldplay has some beautiful songs, well, they're all beautiful. Some are amazing, and some are not.

Podcasts:
None :(

Watching:
Movies:
The World Is Not Enough
This was a pretty good Bond film. I've seen better, but also much worse. Definitely some serious plot twists.

TV:
Food Network Star
No more Alton. Sad face. But, the two people I didn't like straight off have left.

So You Think You Can Dance
I LOVE SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!

Cutthroat Kitchen
Funny, slightly disturbing. The usual.

Master Chef
I like the new lady. Gordon is still scary as all get out.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I'm on Season 3? now. It's an amazing show. I LOVE IT!

Dragon Tales
Dragon Tales was one of my two favorite kid's shows growing up, and I love it even more now! Love watching Dragon Tales on Netflix with my friend C.

YouTube:
vlogbrothers
There is nothing Hank and John have done that I haven't liked. Nerdfighteria is amazing, and so are the Green Bros.

ThatcherJoe
Funny, amazing, everything? I got nothing to explain how stupendous Joe is.

Sacconejolys
This is the funniest channel, and an amazing idea. They have vlogged every day for five years. That is a lot of days, and a lot of commitment.

Arden Rose
Arden is beautiful and funny, and the most amazing person.

Will Darbyshire
I am probably in love with Will Darbyshire. He is probably amazing.

And there we have it!

Bury me till I confess
She wants to dance like Uma Thurman
And I can't get you out of my head

THIS COUNTRY IS BROKEN

Link
I wanted to write about my experience at the Secretary of State's office on Friday. I had just passed Driver's Ed, and I was trying to obtain my learner's permit. So, I had to go to the Secretary of State's office. Because that's where stuff happens? Who knows? I don't. I feel like now would be a good place to say that I do not like politics. I understand the necessity of it, but I don't like it, all the same.
Anyway, I'm going to the Secretary of State's and we get there to a fifty to sixty person line. So we drove down to the next closest office with a similar wait. We drove back to the first place, and they had only gotten through about half of the original amount, with more coming in. So, I didn't get my permit that day.

I feel like something about this situation needs to change. This is a problem; I don't know how to fix it, but I know it is a problem. America is becoming a dysfunctional buracracy, and that is bad. Something needs to be done. And it might take an apocalypse to do it.

Chorus of the Day!

Left your clothes next to the bed
Some pretty pictures in my head
I hope you had a great summer
A great summer away
The kid you used to be
Well, I know that you're still there
I hope you had a great summer
A great summer away

Bad Blood by Taylor Swift

Doctor Who Challengy Bit & Update

Day 01: Favorite Doctor: How am I supposed to choose?! I love the Second and Eleventh Doctors (Patrick Troughton and Matt Smith, respectively) because of their childlike innocence and love of the universe. But, the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is amazing. And then there's the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy), the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), and the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison). That's less than half. Must count, right?

Patrick Troughton, Second
Matt Smith, Eleventh
Peter Capaldi, Twelfth
Sylvester McCoy, Seventh
David Tennant, Tenth
Peter Davison, Fifth

Day 02: Favorite Companion: Jamie McCrimmon. He was the companion of the Second Doctor, and he was amazing, Scottish, kilt-wearing, bagpipe-playing, and a tad dorky, but so so adorable. My next two favorites are Ace, a complete bad-ass companion to the Seventh Doctor, and Donna Noble, the Tenth Doctor's only slightly less bad-ass companion.

Day 03: Least Favorite Companion: Victoria? You know, the screaming, prissy one from the Second Doctor's era. Or maybe Rose, well, I like Rose, but everyone else overdid her. And that Adam guy from Dalek and the Long Game of the Ninth Doctor's era. (Speaking of Nine, he was also an amazing Doctor.)

Day 30: When did you become a fan of Doctor Who? Jan. 2013

Tardis Data Core is the Doctor Who Wiki I use, and it is amazing!

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long. First, it was exams, and then I took some time off, and then Driver's Ed, and camp, and relative visiting. Through all that, I kept meaning to come back, but I was put off by some slight technical problems. Now that is all behind me, and I am back with a vengeance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chorus of the Day!
'Cause baby now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look at what you've done
'Cause baby now we got bad blood
(Hey!) Now we got problems
And I don't think we can solve them
You made a really deep cut
And baby now we got bad blood
