Dance Pictures and Some Beauty Reviews

So, today I am going to have my dance pictures taken. Basically everyone from my dance studio puts on their recital costumes, does their hair in a bun (or not, you know) and squeezes into the tiny, tiny studio. There's always a professional photographer, usually someone whose daughter is in dance, and there are so many lights and expensive pieces of equipment that something is knocked over every year. And now I'm getting ready for that madness!

This is Sinful Colors's Tokyo Pearl. It look pearlescent in the bottle, but more silvery on my nails. I still love the color, though, and think it is beautiful! Sinful Colors Website, they don't sell them online, but I am sure that you could find them on ebay or somewhere else.

This is my shampoo. I really like it because I have quite a dry scalp, and this has really cleared that up. YAY for shampoo!

This is my family's conditioner this week. I don't like it as much because it smells very very overpoweringly of strawberries, and not even regular strawberries, more like fake strawberry scent.

I do like the body wash, however. Everlasting Sunshine is one of my top three Suave scents. Ocean Breeze is my favorite, and the jungle rain one switches with Everlasting Sunshine.

This is Biosilk. It is quite possibly the most amazing thing I own. (FALSE: The most amazing thing I own is books. Also, this isn't mine per say. I share with my sisters.) It detangles my hair immediately. A tiny dot of this stuff does the trick, and doesn't leave my hair oily. It is an oil based formula however.  Biosilk on Amazon

This is the hairspray I use. It is the most powerful hairspray Suave has, and my hair still managed to fall out of a bun, while dancing on stage. That was, however, about four hours after I sprayed my hair, and I had danced three times prior to that. The hairspray is not perfect, but still pretty darn good.

And then I was photographed with my little sister. YAY!

Chorus of the Day!

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why
You had to hide away for so long, so long
Where did we go wrong?

Hey there Mr. Blue, we're so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do
Everybody smiles at you

An Ode to Classical Music

An ode in the style of Pablo Neruda, written while waiting to go on at my Youth Orchestra Concert.

Ode to Classical Music
Once
I held a
cello
and I cried
because I could make you,
music that held me
in my cradle,
that comforts me
in my sadness,
my anger,
my joy
and I
let you
witness
my triumphs,
make you see
my glory.
And
my best
moments
occur
when I am
creating you.
You deserve
more than marks on
paper.
You deserve
life,
a life only
sound
can bring.
You, music,
are only
fully imaginable
when
you
are
heard.
And so I
hear you,
and I
long to
hear you
when
I do not.

Music
will
save
us
all.

Chorus of the Day!

But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh Lord, I'm still not sure, what I stand for oh oh oh
What do I stand for? Oh what do I stand for?
Most nights, I don't know anymore
Oh whoa, oh whoa, oh whoa oh oh
Oh whoa, oh whoa, oh whoa oh oh
